About The Author

Tamara was born on June 18th, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from high school, with high marks in English studies as well as creative writing classes. Tamara went on to study as an English major in St Catherines, Ontario at Brock University. She was ready to complete her second-year exams in English when she suffered from her first mental health episode. She was diagnosed years later with bipolar disorder, with anxiety and insomnia. Tamara was hospitalized, not able to finish her degree. Since then, Tamara has always wanted to bring mental illness into the awareness of the public, in hopes that she could, one day, diminish the stigma and stereotypes that are attached to these disorders.

Tamara is the author of three kids books and a poetry book, Before You Were Born, Happy Birthday Jack, Busy With Bee and Poems of a Codependent. Tamara is a conflict resolution writer, bringing forth a message and moral given within each story or poem. Sharing her message and poetry to kids and youth is one of her biggest hopes. She is a prolific and illustrative writer, spreading the word of gratitude, positivity and inspiration.  In a fabricated sense, the author mysteriously has been known to fortele many of her own life's events as well as other's through her writing. With the birth of her son that came to be, after writing about him five years prior in her first book Before You Were Born.

Tamara has many more books she is looking to have published along with new works of poetry. Her husband Jason Mann is one of her illustrators, he has worked on Happy Birthday Jack the sequel to Before You Were Born.  She enjoys reading her poetry at different events, as well as speaking at schools, hospitals and libraries reaching out to those who struggle with mental health and healing.

THE FORWARDS are a fun, zany, wild and wacky bunch. They are six friends who like to do things their way. Oh, but to these misfits and odd-balls, they don’t see it that way, if they did, they would do it their way anyhow. The Forward’s never seem to mind what anyone else thinks, whether they are dangling high up on the ceilings or filling your house with balloons for no reason at all. For them, everything is backwards and upside down. When you're with The Forwards, please be careful, because they love to cause mischief, chaos and confusion. With so many misunderstandings you just never take life too seriously. Where to The Forward’s a pup is not really a pup, it may just be a cat who seems to have a dog house up in a tree! Even though The Forwards are able to stir everything around, their friendly neighbour; who is often with them, never seems to mind their silly antics! Read the hilarities of The Forward's for a backwards ride, where the ride just may go backwards.
